St. Paul Cell Meeting Tonight
The St. Paul cell of the International Cartoonist Conspiracy will meet again tonight, Thursday, February 21, 6:30 PM at: Cosmic's Coffee 189 N. Snelling Avenue St. Paul, MN 55104 This month, the St. Paul conspirators left their jam comic topic up to anyone who cared to contribute one. Only five brave souls dared submit an idea to a vote to determine what the St. Paul cell will draw at this month's meeting. So far, "Elephants in Underpants" has captured the heart of America, and looks to ride its momentum to victory. The person with the winning idea will be awarded the original artwork from the resulting jam comic. There's still time to vote by following this elephantine link: http://www.cartoonistconspiracy.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=2589&sid=974b2cdfd188e526a79fe66db5e3a7e7 The meeting is open to all who wish to attend. Cast Your Vote!
Don't Let Stwalley Win!
At the risk of sacrificing some of the spontaneity of the jam comics produced every third Thursday by the St. Paul cell of the International Cartoonist Conspiracy, I've asked anyone who cares to, to suggest a topic for the February 21, 2008 jam comic. Any suggestions made before February 14, 2008 will be put to a vote, and the winner will not only see their idea brought to life, but will be awarded the original jam comic pages, compliments of the city of St. Paul. So far, only Steven Stwalley has suggested a topic: "Elephants in underpants, the last of the old timers, and pancake phobia." If you think you can come up with something better than that, go here: and prove it. Labels: Contest, Jam Comics, St. Paul, Steve Stwalley
St. Paul Cell Jam Comic - "Peanuts Vs. Prince"
Dear Pencil-Pal, The St. Paul cell started 2008 with their best-attended meeting ever. Seven co-conspirators combined to create "Peanuts Vs. Prince" which you can see for yourself by clicking here: st.paul/stpjam04.pdfWhy can't I have a normal blog like everyone else? Very truly yours, C. Conspiracy Labels: Jam Comics, St. Paul

St. Paul Cartoonist Conspiracy December Jam Comic
The last St. Paul Cartoonist Conspiracy jam comic for 2007 was finished nearly three weeks ago. Turns out that traveling during the holidays takes a lot out of a person and their desire to do anything. Thus, three weeks later, you are presented with "Krampus Returns." The St. Paul Cartoonist Conspiracy meets every third Thursday of the month at Cosmic's Coffee Shoppe, which is located at the northwest corner of Snelling Ave. and Selby Ave. Meanwhile, our crosstown rivals, the Minneapolis Cartoonist Conspiracy meet every first Thursday of the month (TOMORROW!) at Diamond's Coffee Shoppe from 6 - 10 PM. See the following post for more details. Labels: Jam Comics, St. Paul

St. Paul Conspiracy Cell Jam-O-Rama Report
The inaugural St. Paul Cartoonist Conspiracy Jam happened Thursday, October 18th and we have the images to prove it! The founders of the cell - Bud Burgy (taking the picture), Kevin McCarthy (on the left), and Daniel Olson (on the right) - were the only ones to attend, but we will grow in numbers! By clicking on the above image you will see our four page, potentially ongoing, creation: Tussles and Tights! Labels: Jam Comics, St. Paul
Inaugural St. Paul Conspiracy Cell Jam
You see, the resident Conspirators of Pig's Eye; Kevin McCarthy, Bud Burgy, and Daniel J. Olson are lazy. We'd rather create our own cell in St. Paul that meets somewhere around the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Selby Avenue than travel ten miles to Minneapolis. In fact, we've done just that! EVERY THIRD THURSDAY from 6:30PM - 9:30PM we will be meeting at: Cosmic's Coffee 189 N. Snelling Avenue St. Paul, MN 55104 Though highly unlikely, should the St. Paul cell swell beyond its three "framers," the meetings will move across the street to: O'Gara's Bar & Grill 164 Snelling Avenue North St. Paul, MN 55104 All cartoonists are welcome to join. Yes, that includes Minneapolitans and suburbanites. All you need to bring is your utensils, a passion for creating comics, and perhaps a few bucks for a cup o' joe! This first meeting is set for Thursday, OCTOBER 18, 2007, providing an ideal opportunity to start getting caffeinated for the 24-Hour Comic Challenge two days later. Unless the prospect of free pool proves too distracting, there should be a jam comic in the offing. Labels: St. Paul
